Hazardous Waste Collection Success
Our Household Hazardous Waste Collection weekend saw 3.4 tonnes of waste safely removed from the community. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped keep Tasmania clean and safe.
Litter Prevention in Focus
We’ve kicked off work on our new Litter Plan, engaging local councils to understand regional issues and opportunities. This plan will help shape targeted strategies for reducing litter across Southern Tasmania.
Rethink Waste on the Road
Our team has been busy presenting at school fairs and expos, spreading awareness and engaging directly with the community. We’re always keen to support local events—just get in touch!
Waste Infrastructure Research Begins
We’ve started the groundwork on a new project to better understand waste infrastructure across the region. This research will help identify gaps and guide future planning and investment.
Plastic-Free Events Guide Launched
Rethink Waste Tasmania has released a new practical guide to help event organisers reduce single-use plastics. It’s full of easy, actionable tips for creating more sustainable events.
